This is a list of nearby teams and venues, which provide swimming opportunities during the “winter” from September through May. The Hammond Park Stingrays Staff does not endorse any team in particular, as individual swimmer’s needs and family needs vary.

USA Swimming is the national governing body for competitive swimming in the United States, and administers competitive swimming in accordance with the Amateur Sports Act. The Vision Statement of USA swimming is “to inspire and enable our members to achieve excellence in the sport of swimming and in life.”
USA Swimming is divided into 59 Local Swimming Committees (LSCs). We are located near two LSCs: Maryland and Potomac Valley. Generally, teams attend meets within their own LSC. Only a fraction of the USA teams within these two LSCs are listed here. For more information, see the listed web sites.
