Welcome to the site dedicated to fundraising for the Lorenzen Cancer Foundation in memory of Howard M. Dodd.
Howard passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 14, 2006, 5 days after his cancer diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer deaths in the US. The average life expectancy is 3-6 months and the 5-year survival rate is 5%. The Lorenzen Cancer Foundation is a 501(c )(3) non-profit organization created in the memory of Gary Lorenzen who died in May 2001 of pancreatic cancer. This is an organization that promotes awareness, education, and further research of pancreatic cancer. (pancreatica.org)
In honor of Howard my Sister, Mother and I will be running the Indianapolis 500 Festival Mini-Marathon (half-marathon 13.1 miles) to raise money for the Lorenzen Cancer Foundation.
