The Houston High Steppers Track Club is a subsidiary of Extended Families, a non-profit organization. This track club is sanctioned under USA Track and Field. We are an organization of local inner-city youths from ages 6 to 18. Our purpose is to help children develop proper techniques in track and field which enables them to grow, learn and one day earn a college scholarships. In order to meet the needs of our athletes we are always looking for sponsors. As a result of sponsorships our athletes are given the chance to be seen by college scouts which in turn gives the athletes an opportunity to go to college and achieve higher learning.

The Houston High Steppers are looking for sponsors for the track club. No donation is too small because every little bit helps. If you know of anyone or any organization who may be interested in making a donation to this non-profit organization, please contact Bridget Williams at (832)577-2024 or (832)565-9004 (fax) for additional information including a handout which can be given to anyone who may be interested in making a donation to our team.

Registration began January 2, 2007---But it may not be too late ---CALL NOW
Ages 6 to 18
Cost: $167.00 for New Athletes
Cost: $117.00 for Returning Athletes
You can be a part of a team that offers:

¨      Strength and conditioning
¨      Field and running events
¨      Great competition

¨      Traveling
¨      Certified USA coaches
¨      Certified Personal Trainer
¨      Fun and much, much more

Our purpose is to develop and teach proper running techniques while having fun and building great friendships for years to come.

A fundraiser will be offered to assist with the cost of the registration for all athletes.

CONGRADULATIONS GOES OUT TO THE FOLLOWING HOUSTON HIGHSTEPPERS ELITE
2007 "TEXAS STATE" TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONS:

RICHARD KNOTTS (JUNIOR) @ (NIMITZ H.S.) brought home (3rd place)
with a jump of 23-10.50 in the LONG JUMP

BRITTANY YARBROUGH (SENIOR)@(KLEIN FOREST H.S.) brought home (4th place)
with a time of 1:38.79 in the 4 X 200 RELAY

CANDANCE MONTGOMERY (JUNIOR) @ (WESTFIELD H.S.)brought home (5th place)
with a time of 3:46.78 in the 4 X 400 RELAY

TIMOTHY BUSH (JUNIOR)@(KLEIN FOREST H.S.) brought home (6th place)
with a time of 3:15.23 in the 4 X 400 RELAY
