Hopkinton Little League Coaches Clinic

Please join Hopkinton Little League for a baseball and softball coaches clinic hosted by Hopkinton High School baseball and softball head coaches Jay Golden and Jeff Kearney along with their respective staffs.

Whether you have coached in the league for years or are a first time coach in Pre-K, the clinic will prove informative and will include Q&A breakout sessions for baseball and softball which will cover a variety of topics from hitting and pitching techniques to game situations.  In addition, you can pick up tips on how to run and organize practices, implementing fun and worthwhile drills and the latest theories on how to best prepare your baseball and softball players for the season ahead.  Additional information will also be provided on rule changes, player and umpire evaluations, and coach conduct.

All individuals that have volunteered as a Head or Assistant coach for 2012 are strongly encouraged to attend.  Attendance at this clinic will be taken into consideration as a part of the 2012 coach selection process.

All interested parents are also invited to attend.

The clinic will begin 6:00pm on Sunday, February 26th at the High School Field House and will run for approximately 2 hours.

Anyone volunteering in any capacity and/or having repetitive access to children in the Hopkinton Little League program (e.g. coaching, assistant coaching, team parent, field work, board member, regular dog house worker, etc.) must completely fill out BOTH of the following:

1. Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Request Form
2. Little League Volunteer Application for check of National Sex Offender Registry

BOTH forms must be completely filled out with ALL requested information and two copies of ID, signed and returned to (BY FEBRUARY 29, 2012):

No other forms may be used, past applications will not be considered and applications for other town sports will also not be considered.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE APPROVED THROUGH THIS PROCESS PRIOR TO ANY INVOLVEMENT OR INTERACTION WITH THE CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN THE HOPKINTON LITTLE LEAGUE PROGRAM.
