I have very fond memories of the two summers I played for Bellevue Honda (1991-1992), and I still say it was one of the best youth baseball experiences of my life. In fact, I hope my own son (age 8) has as positive an experience as I had when I played American Legion Ball. Thank you for all the hard work you have put into the program over the years, Doug!
One small nitpick though. You might want to make a correction to your records page because I know that John LeRoy threw a no hitter in 1992. It was in North Dakota at the Williston Invitational. I forget which team he did it against, but I know it happened because I still have the clipping from the Journal American. Oh and also because I was playing left field.
That game was amazing. I don't think I had a single ball hit to me the entire night. I might as well have just laid down in the outfield and taken a nap. LeRoy finished with something like 16 K's, nobody could touch him. The kids in Williston were all asking for his autograph the next day at the field.
It was fun running across the Honda website today. Glad to see the program is still alive and kicking after 20+ years. Keep up the good work!
