Hello Honaker LL,
Just wanted to add the link to the Waldorf Little League in Waldorf, MD. There is a short article on our site talking about where dad and I umpired together at our District 7 Memorial Day tournament this year. It was unique as we were the first father, son, and grandson to take part in the tournament. It was very special for dad and I. My son's team went undefeated in the round robin, but lost in the semi-final game to Saint Mary's County, MD. That's okay, we will get them when it counts at All-Star time!! Good luck this year!

Waldorf American Little League

Congratulations to the Honaker LL teams for winning your respective divisions. It's great to see there will be great high school baseball teams to continue in the future. Of course, I played in the Honaker LL and still follow all Honaker sports online. Now I have a son and daughter playing LL in Waldorf, MD. We are in the Waldorf American Little League. Our 11-12 yr old's are playing their district tourney this week (7-12 Jul). It's good to see all the names associated with the LL program there, i.e. Peanut, Chad Newberry, Darryl Ritchie, etc. But of course, my dad, Frog Bise. Thank you for recognizing his many years of volunteer work by dedicating the senior league field in his name. I know it truly touched him. I would have loved to have been there. Well, good luck as your teams move on.
Best Wishes,
Jeff Bise

| I am sure the Colemans would do fine with the All Stars but there are other good coaches in our leauge as well. I think Eugene Miller will do a wonderful job with the boys. He has years of experience, a winning attitude, and encourages teamwork. My son is looking forward to playing for Eugene on the All Stars. GO HONAKER! |

| It has come to my attention that there is some question about who should coach the 11-12 all star team. My vote is for Cecil and Perry Coleman. They take each kid and work with them and give then hope and confidence wether they have god given ability or not. They treat everyone the same and have more knowledge of the game at critical times than most I have seen. I would say that if the kids had a say in it they would pick Cecil and Perry Coleman two coaches(managers) that know the rules of little league and give to the kids the most important part of all love, heart and still try to keep it fun when it is made into such a cut throat thing at times by others. |
