Homestead Little League: Welcome
|
Opening Day March 3, 2012
Dear Parents, Coaches, and Assistant Coaches, Umpires, Sponsors and Members of the Board.
Here are some events coming up:
1.This Tuesday, January 24th, before the 7 O’clock Clinic. All registrants (players who have already registered for the spring season) need to check with the concession stand and complete your child’s size requirements for uniforms and continue their payments. There will be sample uniforms to try on. (Please note: All coaches, assistant coaches need to check in at the concession stand this Tuesday as well, to make sure their volunteer forms are complete. Some are missing information on the forms. Due to regulations, coaches will not be able to go out on the field without a background check and finger prints. Thank you in advanced for taking care of this.
2.We have invited coach Burnside from South Dade Senior High School and his team to come to Harris Field Today, January 24 at 7:00pm. Be there.
3. At the end of January we will have a clinic called MVP. Date will be announced. Members of Professional Baseball Leagues will be coaching and running drills for all players. The MVP clinic will be headed by Hector Otero of the Minnesota Twins. Hector has joined The New Homestead Little League Board, as the Player Development Manger. He is committed to the children of Homestead and we welcome his input.
4.To comply with Little League Regulations, it is important that everyone who wants to participate in The New HLL, complete their registration forms by this Tuesday. Registrations will stay open for all New Ball Players to join our League, so be sure you tell your neighbors, friends and school mates.
5.Tuesday, January 31st at 6:30p.m. District 8 will sponsor a Umpire Clinic. This clinic is for those who are interested in an umpire position and mandatory for umpires regulating this season’s games. Be there to get certified.
6. We would like to plan a strong outreach for our current Sponsors to help improve our fields and your children’s baseball experience by:
· Adding Batting Cages
· Improving the bullpens
· Adding score boards at Harris Field,
*It is very important for all families to also participate and bring new sponsors to the League to make this plan a reality. Any questions or for more information please call or email me.
