We had 31 of the 37 wrestlers compete in the State tournament. After a long day, 14 wrestlers came home with metals. Congratulations to everyone!

The Big Team captured second place in the 2009 CYM Championships. It was close through-out the final round, as Holy Angels and St. Polycarps went back and fourth. In the end, we came up short in the team scoring. St. Polycarps had 95 team points and we had 90. The third place team (St. Peter's) only had 37 team points.
Congratulations to everyone who wrestled. We had 8 First Places, 3 Second Places, 3 Third Places and 2 Fourth Places. Final team scoring is as follows:

We had an exciting state qualifying tournament and would like to thank all the wrestlers and parents for a great day of wrestling. Our team had 41 wrestlers compete in four age divisions with 37 qualifying (first through fourth place advances) for the state tournament next Sunday at Sussex Tech High School. Overall placement is as follows: 10 Firsts, 12 Seconds, 8 Thirds and 7 Fourths.

The Big Team ended the regular season with a 4 - 1 record and tied for first with St. Polycarp. Since St. Polycarp beat us during the year, we came in second.
