What a weekend! What a HOT weekend! A couple of the girls had problems keeping enough fluids in them and one even got an ambulance ride. That was pretty scary. Thanks to all the ladies for playing so hard on a hot weekend and not giving up.
When all was done, Holtville defended their status as Pre-Area Champions. Hey Tiffany, everyone says THIS ONE WAS FOR YOU!
The Pre-Area tournament was held in Holtville. We finally got to play at home! Friday night started with a win over our neighbors from Millbrook.
Saturday morning started with a forfeit over no-show Chelsea, then a loss to Prattville. A come-from-behind victory in the last inning over Millbrook, during the hottest part of the day, put us into the championship game with Prattville. The girls found their second wind and defeated Prattville for the Pre-Area Championship.
