ANNUAL RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS

This year, FSR has separated the Federation mandated five (5) hour in-service training annual recertification requirement into two (2) parts.

  • Part 1 is offered online and when completed in its entirety, it will satisfy 2 of the 5 required hours. This online part is available throughout the year and may be completed at any time but prior to seating for the three (3) hour classroom session and classroom testing.
  • Part Two will be the classroom portion of the annual recertification, scheduled not by FSR but by the local Referee Administrator (ARA or DRA). It will be concluded with passing of a 50 question test.
  • All of the above requirements must be met in order to certify for 2010.

This modified scheduling assists all members of FSR requiring annual recertification to budget and manage their time much more efficiently. It also frees up weeknights so the administrators can schedule more classroom dates so FSR members can have more options on when and where to attend.

The administrators schedule classes in the order the hosting clubs request them and the appropriate space becomes available. Again, FSR has no control over scheduling of classes or courses.

Who Must Take This Online Module

All individuals requiring annual recertification, regardless of badge type or grade, must take this two (2) hour online module. This means all referees, assignors, assessors and instructors, regardless of grade. This is not a substitute for anyone's annual recertification but rather a requirement, a "must do" for everyone before any member attends the classroom portion.
