Spring is in the air so that means baseball season is just around the corner. With that, Holly Little League will be holding its sign-up night once again.We're looking forward to having another wonderful season, and hope to see your family come out and join us.

All-Star Games

Thursday, July 7th 2011

Hello all,

The All-Star Game this season for all leagues will be held on Thursday, July 7th.  All game times will be 6:30.

Majors will select 4 players from each team and the game will be held on Field B.  Teams will be divided using AL Teams vs. NL Teams.

Minors will select 3 players from each team and the game will be held on Field C.  Teams will be divided using AL Teams vs. NL Teams.

Coach Pitch will select 3 players from each team and the game will be held on Field D.  Teams are typically divided using Odd Teams vs. Even Teams but that would stack the 4 highest teams in the standings against the 4 lowest teams.  You may want to work out something different between the coaches to try to get a more evenly matched game.

Practices for this game will be at the discretion of the coaches on each All-Star team, so coaches should start talking to see if/when they want to hold practice(s).

Holly Little League Parade 

Saturday, May 7th 2011
Players Arrive: 9:00am
Parade Beings: 10:00am

The 2011 Holly Little League Opening Day Parade will start in the same location as last year, the parking lot across from the Holly Post Office, which is at the corner of West Maple St and Civic Drive.

 

It is imperative to follow the procedures for drop off such that the chances of injury are reduced.
When dropping off, parents are to drive south on North First St, turn left (east) onto West Maple St. Once on West Maple, they may drop their child(ren) off and proceed to park somewhere along the parade route. See the inset map for drop-off information.

 

The parade route will go from the staging area east on West Maple, turn right on Corbin St, then left on Baird St, then right on East St to the Little League ball fields. The parade will proceed to the softball field (H) and all teams will assemble in the grass just outside the infield. All spectators may gather outside the fence of the softball field.

 

Each coach is responsible for finding enough adult supervision for the walk during the parade and for the team pictures following the opening ceremonies. No parade participants are allowed to throw candy (or any other item). If "goodies" are to be handed out they are to be hand delivered by the parade participants to the spectators, not thrown.

 

A Note to Coaches: When reporting to the parade staging area please seek out one of the board members to find your place in the parade line and the diagram of where your team will be once at the ball fields.
