2009 APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP
Due on or before May 19, 2009

The Program

In 1998, the Holliston Youth Baseball/Softball Association board announced the HYBSA Scholarship Program to assist Holliston High School seniors with college expenses and better serve the community.  This year HYBSA is pleased to offer scholarships ranging from $500 to $1500.  The recipient of the scholarship and the amount of each scholarship is based solely on the decision of the scholarship committee. The announcement of the recipients will be sent out prior to June 2009.


Qualifications for Application 

Applicants must: 

• Have participated in the Holliston Youth Baseball/Softball Program for a minimum of four years between kindergarten and twelfth grade 
• Live in Holliston, Massachusetts 
• Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above in high school.  A copy of your transcript must be supplied. 
• Provide evidence of admission to a college or university. 
• Supply a resume of activities, awards and honors (typical form sent in with college/university applications). 
• Write an essay, 500 words or less, that describes how your youth baseball or softball experience helped you become the person you are today.  Please include any extra activities (umpire, coach or volunteer) that you might have performed for HYBSA
