Varsity Magazine Pre Season Top 5 Class I Baseball Teams
The Cavalier baseball team has once again been selected to the Varsity magazine pre season top 5 list. The 2009 Cavaliers have been selected #3 in this year’s coach’s poll. Great job guys!!!

Cav's Come Up Short in Plymouth
Junior Justin Dapolito pitched well enough for a win but shakey defense in the 5th inning cost the boys in blue there first lose of the season. Eric Dupler lead the offense with 2 hits while Dapolito went all 7.

Cavaliers participate in MooreMart Project 2009
The Cavaliers baseball program continued its community service particpation partnership with the MooreMart project (www.Mooremart.org) today working with other volunteers packing gift boxes for US Military personnel stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is the 6th time players have worked in support of this endeavor.

HB 11 Coe Brown 0
Senior Ian Grant was near perfect in his first start of the year throwing 62 pitches in 5 innings which was called short due to the mercy rule. Grant gave up 3 hits on the day striking out 3 and no walks. Leads off hitter Jordan Musto lead the offense going 3-3 with 2 runs scored while Kenny Glover and Joe Lero each had 2 hits. Glover and Dapolito each had a triple in the win. The boys travel Monday to Plymouth for a battle with the bobcats.

Cavaliers Open The Season With A Bang!!
The local 9 open the 2009 baseball season with a bang on Wednesday scoring 15 times to beat Pelham 15-4. Junior Justin Dapolito picked up his first win of the year going 4 innings one unearned run striking out six python batters. Junior Charlie McCubrey pitched a solid in relief. McCubrey and SS Kevin Chase each had two hits to lead the offensive attack. The Cavs are home on Friday when Coe Brown travels to HB 4:15 first pitch.
