SWIM AMERICA DESCRIPTION:
Holland Community Aquatic Center teaches the nationally acclaimed SwimAmerica (www.swimamerica.org) program to all of our learn-to-swim participants! This program was designed by the American Swimming Coaches Association and allows students to learn the technique-oriented and goal-directed program at their pace. If you are new to SwimAmerica, or have questions, please contact Morgan Haskell at 616.393.7595 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Preschool Lessons are divided into two groups. Three year olds will swim with a guardian in the water. Four to five year olds will be accompanied by HCAC instructors. Your child will develop a comfort level in the water while having fun in a safe environment. As they progress, they will learn to propel themselves independently in the water, and develop personal water safety skills. Lessons are held in the warm-water Therapy Pool.
SCHOOL AGE LESSONS (Stations 1-10 Description):
SwimAmerica lessons build on basics that teach water adjustment and personal safety first. Children master these skills in early stations before being introduced to strokes in the later stations. As children master each station they are tested by our Site Supervisors and moved into the next station at any time during any class.
You will need to register for these Swim Lessons with the Holland Community Aquatic Center directly.
**Evening & Weekend classes are available. Go to www.hollandaquaticcenter.org or call 616.393.7595 for more information.**
