Helder Park Soccer Fields Closed on Monday, April 14

Earlier today our Parks staff inspected the soccer fields at Helder Park.  The hope was that they would be ready to go.  Unfortunately with the rain we had yesterday and the level of water that remains in the drainage ditches surrounding the park, they are asking for teams to please refrain from practicing tonight.  The fields are still quite wet and our staff believes the conditions to be dangerous and practicing could rip them up pretty good.  I know this is not what you want to hear but we also want the facility to maintain its character and reputation for being a top-notch facility.  We ask for your cooperation in this.  Thank you

Holland Township Recreation is in the process of changing our program information distibution process.  For years we have put together a single flyer highlighting our programs.  Due to rising costs as well as the desire to look for alternative ways to get our information out we are changing our distribution process and listing options.  Here is what we have in store for the distribution of our  2014 Winter/Spring program information...

  • Post Cards
    • Instead of flyers we will be handing out larger-sized post cards featuring our individual program listings, only.  The post cards will be approximately 6"x9"
    • We would also list the registration options and contact information on these cards utilizing both sides.  Our intent is to really focus people on going to our web site for their program information and signup options.  It will be professionally done and we believe it will help make our department more efficient
  • Web Site Listing
    • We will continue to offer a sub-sites listed on our web site for all of our programs.  Click the appropriate sub-site listing for specific information on each program we offerFlyer/Brochure Listing
  • E-Mail Blasts
