Our Mission: The Holland Park Youth Association provides enriching opportunities and activities to youth ages 4-15 regardless of race, religion, and/or national origin. It is a non-profit organization which is primarily funded through private donations and fees paid by parents. The fees are only used for operating expenses. Students participating in the programs offered learn how to overcome obstacles, gain a greater ability to meet new and oftentimes difficult challenges, develop a strong sense of teamwork, increase self-esteem and confidence, increase self-discipline, increase problem solving and analytical skills, become more responsible, and become high achievers. They are taught how to become contributing members of the community and positive role models for others to follow. Some of the programs and activities offered include: football and cheerleading, field trips, self-esteem/self-discipline/self-help classes, guest speakers, tutorial services, and mentoring.
