After an extremely well played game and championship series, Percy's were crowned AAA champions for 2009 with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Troiano Trucking on Father's Day.  Percy's were led by a 2-run game-winning single by Anthony Mina, 2 runs scored by Bobby Tonning, and superb pitching by Thomas Shepard and Kalen Smith.

Troiano Trucking was led by great ptichning from Joshua Molfsky and Matt Menard along with timely hitting from Joey Fleming and some great fielding by Gabe Dobles.  Troiano's runs were scored by Lauren Quinlivan and Matt Menard.  Overall it was a great team effort.

Congratulations to both Percy's and Troiano Trucking!

About Holden Baseball's AAA League

The AAA League is the first level of Little League baseball.  Players who are 8, 9 or 10 prior to April 1 are eligible to play based on their performance at tryouts conducted in October of the prior year and well as player evaluations completed by their A or AA league coaches.

At the AAA level, all games are kid pitch, all games are played following Little League rules, and all games are called by a Holden Baseball umpire.  Standings are kept throughout the season and teams participate in a double-elimination tournament at the conclusion of the season to determine the AAA champion for the season.
