Welcome to the Hogg Creek Soccer League or the HCSL.  The HCSL is  member of Ohio Youth Soccer Association North (OYSAN).  The league was established in 2005 by a group of area High School coaches and parents that wanted to provide a place for teams to play in the summer.  The soccer league is located in Northwest, Ohio and originally began with just a U-18 High School level girls league.  Since that time the league has expanded and now has a U-18 High School boys league (added in 2009), a Jr. High girls league (added in 2008), and Travel Teams "The Razors" (currently girls only / added in 2007).  All of teams in our leagues are registered as competitive.  The league plays from June 1st thru July 15th of each year.  The number of teams vary in each league by year and have been tracked below.  The purpose of our league is to promote the growth of soccer throughout the area, provide opportunities for players through advancing skills, knowledge of the game, team work and fair play.  We as a league desire to bring coaches and players closer together and work to promote, and advance soccer all throughout Northwest, Ohio for all of those that wish to play and compete.  By doing this we hope to create a soccer community where coaches, players, parents, and fans will come together as one TEAM and family.

History of the "HCSL RAZORS"

The HCSL Razors were started in 2007 by the league to provide a more affordable way for girls to experience what a Travel Team is like.  During the first year the Razors played solely within the league.  In the second year we expanded the team vision by taking them to tournaments and playing in some scrimmages against other area club / travel teams.  We hope to encourage girls to seek out and participate in area travel teams either through our league or one of the many other area travel teams.  Currently in 2009 there are 2 HCSL Razors teams on the girls side, a U-19 and a U-17 both play within the HCSL High School Girls League.  Future plans for the Razors is to expand to 3rd team on the girls side and a possible boys team.  the girls team would be a U-15 or 14 and play within the Jr. High Girls League.  the boys team would be a U-18 or 19 and play within the Boys High school League.  More detailed info below.

"NEWS FLASH "

HCSL PASS-BACK Program

"Pass the Equipment Back and Help a Teammate Out!"

The H.C.S.L. is starting a new program this season.  The program “The H.C.S.L. Pass-Back Program” will work to provide used equipment to players that may not be able to afford new equipment.  We are asking all players, parents, coaches, and fans to help us in getting this program started.  It is really simple in that all you need to do to help out is turn in soccer shoes, shin guards, or goalie equipment that you no longer use, or that you have outgrown.  We will collect all sizes from youth to adult.  Coaches, this is where you come in.  I would like anyone that wishes to donate their items to turn them into their coaches, the coach that gave you this paper.  That coach will collect the items and turn them into me (Rod Stoner “HCSL President”) and I will store them at my address.  Once we have a small inventory we will then make them available to all the players throughout the area High School, Jr. High, and Youth Programs.  Coaches or players can contact me if or when they know of someone in need of equipment and we will make arrangements to get them what they need for FREE.  With times the way they are this is great time to help give a little back, to help those that have the desire to play and to share in the sport we love.  The coaches in our league are all actively involved in their area programs and will be great eyes and ears for seeing where there is a need.  This is also a great opportunity for the league and its players to give back to those in their own and surrounding communities.  Please help me in getting this program started.  I believe that with all of us pitching in we can help those around us, next door or down the street, and maybe even some around the country.

Items we are collecting are:

Soccer Shoes (Indoor or Outdoor) All Sizes Youth to Adult

Shin Guards all sizesGoalie Shirts, Shorts, Pants, Pads, and Gloves all sizes

Uniforms (Sets of 14 or more only, no individual uniforms)

Equipment: Balls and Cones
