Basketball: Six county players were selected to a Maryland All-Star team

Six county players were selected to a Maryland All-Star team that competed against a team of Pennsylvania All-Stars Saturday at Steeltown High School in Harrisburg, Pa. While the home team came away with a 110-100 win, the county was well represented with some fine play. Marriotts Ridge senior guard Kevin Seker hit four three-pointers on his way to 14 points; Atholton's Anthony Jones (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Glenelg's Bruce Richardson (10 points, 10 rebounds) both enjoyed double-doubles; and Long Reach's Obi Ukwuoma had 10 points and six rebounds. Atholton's Deyon Cook contributed five points with Glenelg Country's Evan Williams finishing with four.

On Sunday, Seker and Ukwuoma will play in the Charm City Challenge City/County All-Star Game at Towson University.
