THE HOCKEY 101 TRAINING CENTER IS MOVING INTO IT"S BRAND NEW 5000 sq ft BUILDING.
       It will feature a 1000 sq. ft ICE HOCKEY SURFACE and 1200 sq. ft. STRENGTH TRAINING CENTER on the first level.

                        Hockey 101 is currently testing Ballistik Hockey Shafts and Blades for future marketing. These sticks feel GREAT!! We will have them available for you to try them out during practices and games and you can TRY IT before you BUY IT!

For the hockey player, Ballistik™’s “tough” sticks have an industry leading, one-time replacement warranty for breakage during normal use under our 30/60/90 day program: 30 days on composite blades, 60 days on one-piece sticks and 90 days on shaft, based on normal use. Normal use does NOT include breakage due to contact with other players, skates, sticks (slashing), boards, nets, zamboni, use on asphalt or cement surfaces, etc. and hence no replacement will be offered in this case.                 Albany Jr River Rats "National Champions" !!!!

                           

Congratulations to the Albany Jr. River Rats for finishing in first place in the Continental Hockey Association's "Premier" Junior "B" regular season.

            

The Jr. River Rats began five years ago as a youth hockey program based in the capital district area. Each year they have elevated in level and leagues, which has continued through the 2005-2006 season with the emergence of the CHA Premier League. (Junior "B") The Rats are in their second season at Union College’s Achilles Rink, which gives players a chance to play and practice in a Division I College atmosphere. The Rats (Major) finish their season 5-1-2 against Junior "B" teams from the Empire and Metropolitan Leagues.

Albany Jr. River Rats strength training programs utilize Top Form Certified Instructors. http://www.topform.us/

Practices: 2-3 times per week with 2-2 1/2 hrs per session.

Congratulations to the Albany Jr. River Rats, making it to the semi finals at the Junior "C" Nationals held in Philadelphia. The Jr. River Rats also came in second in their league.



         
            Midget AA / Junior Program

For limited post season play (March -early April) vs. Jr RiverRats - Ramapo Rangers and possibly 1 tournament.

We are currently looking at a scrimmage/game on Tuesdays from 8 to 9 in Saratoga. The top skaters will be selected for play against the River Rats and any tournament play.

USA Hockey Registration required ($25 made payable to AYHA, a photo copy or USA card showing current status will do)


$20 per game based on number of players
There may be a minimal jersey fee

Congratulations to the 2002-03 Adirondack Bantam "A" team, wherein they finished their season 1 game over their goal of a .500 season, while winning 3 tournaments.

Congratulations to the Adirondack Bantam A's for their win in the Can/Am Challenge in Lake Placid overcoming the Brockton Boxers 5-3 for Gold.

Congratulations to the Adirondack Bantam A's for their win in the Burlington tournament overcoming the Capital A's.

Congratulations to the Saratoga Pee Wee A's for their win in Pre-Sectionals.

Congratulations to the Adirondack Bantam A's for their win in the Clifton Park tournament.

Congratulations to the Saratoga Squirts for becoming the Tier ll State Champions as they went undefeated through Pre-Sectionals / Sectionals and States to defeat a solid Canton team in the Finals.

Congratulations to the 01-02 Adirondack Bantam "A" team, wherein they finished their season 2 wins shy of their goal of a .500 season, while winning the Troy and Schenectady Tournaments.

Congratulations to the Ramapo Jr. Rangers for their 2nd place finish in the Junior Nationals, losing to Apple Core 2-1 in overtime on 4/7/02

This 1200 sq/ft personal skills arena utilizes an 800 sq/ft "State of the Art" Synthetic Ice Surface by "Superice". YES - Ice-Skates and YES - Hockey Stops.   *A new 400 sq/ft seating room is expected to start construction by mid October.


CONGRATULATIONS TO THE HOCKEY 101 "Students" TEAMS (88 & 90'S) SETTING NEW HEIGHTS AT THE GREEN MOUNTAIN AVALANCHE TOURNAMENT.
The 88 team went 2-2 and the 90's went 2-1-1 losing to the tournament champions.
