Lodging

We at HKUPA are trying our best to keep the cost down for you.  However, Hong Kong is known for being expensive.  Be prepared when you come to spend some money and try to book a place ASAP as it is a busy convention weekend.

Below are some ideas on where you can stay.

  • If you prefer we can try to coordinate housing with other HKUPA members who are willing to share their couch/floor with you.  Please contact Bill Byrne at liam.o.broin@gmail.com
  • Another option is to use the www.couchsurfing.com site.
  • Hostels in the area  www.hostels.com   These are inexpensive places to stay and average around $30 US/night.  If you book a room don't expect it to fit more than the stated capacity (ie if you book a room for two don't expect it to sleep 4)
Book the  Causewaybay ones first as they are more convenient to the field.

HKUPA in the News
Check out the latest news on HKUPA on the home page of the South China Morning Post, www.scmp.com.  There is a great video titled "Hong Kong's Ultimate Sport" which features Steven Lee, Marcus and Toby along with shots of players competing in the wednesday night league game.  There is also an article in September 23, 2007's "Young Post Section".
