| I found this site and had to leave my mark as the Hilltoppers left a lasting mark on me. I played in the minors in '60 and '61 and got drafted by the Dodgers late in the '61 season. Had one at bat and struck out. Shortly after that, I moved to Houston. What great memories. |

Awesome site! My father was a coach and a umpire for many years from the mid 60's thru the 70's. I played on the Pirates, Wildcats, and Angels from 1965-1969. I'll be sending some photos for you to keep. I will also be at the 50th Anniversary on Saturday, I wouldn't miss it. ALL THOSE THAT PLAYED with the Hilltoppers should show up!

Tommy Danfield from of the 1958 Giants corrected my dates...He is visiting me in Austin to attend the annual Austin City Limits Outdoor Music Festival Same time at the Hurricane Katrina and Rita.
