Heat Wave Battle but Lose to Aberdeen-Matawan 1-0
The Aberdeen-Matawan Force was a force to be dealt with for the Heat Wave on Sunday, October 4. The two teams were deadlocked in a defensive battle with just a smattering of shots on goal in the first half. Both teams brought the ball towards the goal, only to be shooed back by the tough defenders from both teams. In the fourth quarter, the Heat Wave defense faltered only once, giving up the lone goal of the day. At the end of the game, the Heat Wave drove towards the Force goal, but were unsuccessful in their scoring attempts. The Heat Wave take on the Metuchen Lady Rovers next in the first away game of the season.
