PRESENTING THE 2010 HILLCREST RAMS BASEBALL COACHING STAFF
HEAD BASEBALL COACH:
Dru Mahony is a graduate of Hillcrest High School where he played both football and baseball. He was drafted out of high school by the Florida Marlins, but chose to go to college. Coach Mahony attended Brevard Junior College playing two years of baseball. Dru transferred to Carson Newman College and also played two more years of Baseball. He received his degree in Business Administration. Coach Mahony is currently in the PACE program. The PACE program is for individuals who have been in the work force, and wants to change careers to education. Dru has been married for 6 years to Laura Cain Mahony, and reside in Fountain Inn, SC.
Assistant Baseball Coach:Coach Given begins his fourth year as coach of the Rams Junior Varsity. Coach Given is a 1984 graduate of Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida. After high school, he continued his education at Seminole Community College in Sanford, Florida before finishing his collegiate career at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg. While at USCS, Coach Given hit 23 home runs over two seasons, which ranks fourth on the all time list. His 69 RBI during the 1988 season, is the second most in school history. Following the 1988 season, Coach Given was selected in the 20th round by the Houston Astros and finished his professional career in 1989.Coach Given has been married to wife Sally for sixteen years. They are members of Simpsonville First Baptist Church and have three children: Reid 14 years, Hayes 11 years and Emma 7 years.

Assistant Baseball Coach: Nick Campbell Coach Campbell is a graduate of Hillcrest High and The Citadel. At Hillcrest he was an all region performer in baseball and defensive captain of the (9-3) 1995 Hillcrest Football team. He walked on at The Citadel and played baseball for two years. Nick was the assistant coach for two years for the Golden Strip American Legion team. He is married to his wife, Alexis and has a 3yr old daughter, Addison Reese. Nick is active in his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
