The Team.
The Maryland Hillcats are a competitive select baseball program located in Central Maryland. The Hillcats compete against the best amateur baseball teams in Maryland and from around the country in both league and tournament play. The Hillcats compete in the Baltimore Metro Baseball League, which is one of the most competitive and successful amateur baseball leagues in the country.

The Dedication.
The Hillcat staff has worked very hard developing this program, and with the support of our parents, players and sponsors, we believe that this program is one of the best available to young athletes. The coaches have many years of coaching and former playing experience and provide top level instruction in all aspects of skill development. Along with skills progression the coaching staff also works heavily on the mental and physical approach to becoming a successful baseball player. The Hillcat program offers year round player development and opportunities for improvement that include a fall baseball schedule followed by winter fitness training.

The Commitment to Excellence.
In January of each year the Hillcats begin preparation for the new season by practicing at an indoor facility. The Hillcats will play aproximately 30 games in the metro league regular season. The regular season is preceeded by participation in the best qualifying tournaments available with various World Series berths at stake. Including holiday and post season tournament play the Hillcats play approximately 50-60 games during the spring-summer season.

To play Hillcat baseball, the player and his family need dedication, discipline, desire and commitment to the program to assure success for the athlete, and the hillcat baseball program. The Maryland Hillcats look at prospective players and offer tryouts and team orientation meetings on a year around basis. Roster vacancies are filled as soon as possible after orientation and tryouts are completed and qualified players are identified. Feel free to contact any staff member to obtain additional information, check current roster status, schedule a parent/coach meeting and or a tryout. Coach Albright is available by phone at 301-271-3995 or email at coachalbright@gmail.com

The Sponsorships.
Currently the Hillcats are in the process of soliciting sponsors for the 2008 Spring competitive season. Sponsors are a very important part of the Hillcat Program providing much needed operational funding and support to our athletes.

We want to thank those listed in the
Sponsors section of the website who have already contributed to the Hillcats program, coaches and players.
