Coach Gilley enters 2009 in his ninth year as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Hendersonville High School. In two years as the Head JV Coach Coach Gilley's JV teams were a combined 37-8. In 2003 he helped guide the Commandos to a third place finish in the State Tournament and a school record of 33 wins. Coach Gilley spends his summers coaching the Hendersonville Shooters, a travel baseball team made up of players that will be returning to Hendersonville High School the following Spring. 26 former Shooters have gone on to play college baseball since the summer of 2001.
