Coach Hendrix enters the 2009 season with 379 wins as the head coach at Hendersonville High School. He ranks 16th all-time in wins in the state of Tennessee. In his 19 years as the coach at Hendersonville 44 players have gone on to play college baseball. The Commandos have been to the AAA State Tournament four times, more than any other team in district 9AAA. The Commandos were runner-ups in 2001 to nationally ranked Oakland and finished third in 2003 behind the number 1 team in the Nation Farragut, bowing out 10-9 in the state semi-finals. Coach Hendrix has turned Hendersonville Baseball into a program that garners respect all over the southeast and especially in the state of Tennessee as one of the top programs in all of Tennessee.
