Horseheads Little League: My Site News
For the second consecutive year, HH Little League is the recipient of a $1000 Community Grant from Walmart. This is a sizable contribution which the league intends to use toward equipment costs. HHLL Treasurer, Chris Wieland said, "Community partners are such a valuable asset to our organization--we are grateful for all of the contributions we recieve. This grant will definitely be put to good use."

All Stars Then & Now: 50 Year Anniversary

The 1962 11-12 All-Star team was on hand for Saturday's (April 28th) Opening Ceremonies. The majority of the players assembled on Perry Cronkrite field to present current League President Joe Abbott with their trophy. The team, sans 3 original members, were joined by their coach and the 1962 League President, who threw out this seson's first pitch. The 1962 team had a great season that year--finishing three games away from a trip to Williamsport.
"It was great to have that team on the field--even better to have our three District Championship All-Star teams on the third base line with those guys on the mound. A truly great sight," President Joe Abbott said after the ceremonies.
