WELCOME to Hawks Softball!
Academically, HFCC has a nationally recognized Nursing program (largest registered nursing program in Michigan) and Health Careers program. In addition HFCC offers a top rated honors program as well as more than 100 degree or certification programs including accounting, physical therapy, criminal justice, hospitality studies and general business. Also, the HFCC pre-education program was recently chosen as one of the six best community college teacher education programs in America. Athletically, the softball program recruits year round. Our commitment starts in the fall – one week after school begins with tryouts on September 1st and 2nd. We then have a couple weeks off and then begin preseason conditioning at the end of October to December break. Our practices begin in January, with a spring training trip in March, and then end with the national tournament in May. Our league is competitive and is good as far as parity, and building a successful HFCC program is our goal. Fundraising is very important to us, as we use them for our Spring Training, equipment and scholarship funds. Please see Flyers/Handouts on how you can support the Hawks!
The outlook for 2008 has us searching for players who would like to stay local, want to work hard, learn, have fun, and those who might be interested in the programs offered at HFCC or those who want to train for a year or two in hopes of gaining a scholarship to a four-year university.
