HFC 93 Rhein earns "Fair Play" award at HFC Cup
The Hurricane played two solid games this weekend and by giving up the opportunity for a third earned the Fair Play award for the tournament. In game one on Saturday against the NWAL Striker's from Bentonville, AK, Shelbi got her scoring foot going with goals in the 20th and 39th minutes, one assisted by Amanda W. In the 52nd minute Abbey got the team max points with the third goal of the game on a low hard shot to the left corner of the goal. The afternoon game on Saturday was forfeited by no-show Extreme 94G. On Sunday morning the Hurricane matched up with Tony Glavin Green from St Louis. The girls gave up a 1st half goal off a hard rebound shot but in the second half Libby got a break away on a nice ball from Shelbi, dribbled through a couple of defenders and fired home the tying goal. The Hurricane gave up their right to the championship game so that both traveling teams could get their third game in and therein earned the fair play designation for the tournament. The Hurricane return to OPL play next week. GO HURRICANE!!!

HFC 93 Beattie is now HFC 93 Rhein!
After four successful seasons Richard Beattie has passed the reins of the team to coach John Rhein. Also joining the team this season is Paige Robison and to everyone's delight returning is Lindsey Bach after a year away. The Hurricane is anticipating great things this season and looks forward to making a strong run through the OPL this year culminating in another second weekend appearance at State Cup.
