The Hendersonville Parks Department is the home of your local chapter #5129 of the NYSCA.
Check this site often for clinic dates.
We hold clinics for initial certification of coaches. This is a 4 hour process, and requires full attendance.
All renewals are handled by the NAYS and NYSCA. We do not handle any renewals. You may visit the NAYS and NYSCA with links provided from our site. They renew by mail, phone and on-line.

The fee is $25, payable to the Hendersonville Officials Association (HOA) : $20 of this fee is for the NYSCA, and $5 is retained by the HOA.
Included in this meeting is your certification in the NYSCA, and a general introduction into coaching youth sports in the Hendersonville Parks system. You will receive a City of Hendersonville Parks and Recreation Athletic Manual, an overview of Parks rules and guidelines, and other tools to enhance your coaching experience.
If you are already certified in another sport, bring your current NYSCA card and show up at the clinic starting time. You will owe no additional funds if your certification is current. You must have a current card in another sport in your possession in order to add another.
Gold Level Offer
The Parks Department wants to help you become a better coach, and we will pay for you to become a NYSCA Gold Level Certified Coach.

Online Certification
Coaches can now complete their initial NYSCA certification online (and add additional sports online, too). Check the website at NAYS.ORG for details on online registration. Coaches are free to certify online now, and should complete their registration at least 2 weeks prior to the start of their season.
