One Of Those Games That Comes Around Once In A While...Bare-bones statistical info for now -- This game's MVP: Frank Fletcher -- 8 points (1 for 4; 1 HR; 1 RBI; 1 run; .250 BA) Honorable Mention(s): Joaquin Perez -- 7 points (1 for 3; 1 triple; 2 RBIs; 1 run; .333 BA) Wes Avery -- 5 points (2 for 3; 1 single; 1 double; 1 run; .667 BA) Next game "O-fer" Shirt sighting(s): Gene Hitt, Lee Garcia, Joaquin Perez (all previous make-ups) -- plus Rich Avery and Johnny Lopez this game -- get to do the "virtual" honors next week. Because of the hot weather, I've been more concerned with player comfort than with bringing out "the Shirt"...so, we'll just have to see...!
