VSA Heat 95 Gold is a select rising U-14 Boys travel soccer team.  We are a Virginia Soccer Association Club located in Western Prince William County, VA.  VSA Heat 95 Gold will compete in Division Three in The National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) in Fall, 2009.

 VSA Heat 95 Gold are professionally trained and coached by Marcos Chantel, of Soccer the Brazilian Way. A native of Brazil, Marcos played professionally in his homeland for top Rio de Janeiro clubs Bomsucesso and Flamengo. He spent a season in the Netherlands playing for the Dutch Division 1 team LVV Kyepers. Here in the United States, he played for the Northern Virginia Royals. He has played professionally for the Stockton Cougars and the Baltimore Blast.

VSA Heat 95 Gold trains and competes year round.  During the spring and fall season, VSA Heat 95 Gold participates in league play and tournaments.  During the summer, VSA Heat 95 Gold attend developmental camps and take part in tournaments.  In the winter, VSA Heat 95 Gold focuses on futsal training as well as participates in indoor soccer leagues.

Our coaches and training staff are dedicated to player development and teamwork.  Emphasis is placed on technical and tactical development as well as sportsmanship.  We encourage players to give maximum effort and enjoy every game.

THE HEAT ARE TRAINED AND COACHED BY

Unable to get their offense in gear, The HEAT lost twice this weekend.  The Arlington Suprema came out on top 2-nil, and the NVSC Jr Royals won by an identical score. 

Despite a strong defensive showing in both matches, The HEAT created few scoring opportunities in either game, and were unable to capitalize when they did have chances to score.

The HEAT play again Saturday, September 19, at 4:00 against the CSA Sonics.  Please note, the game location has been changed from Long Park to Bull Run Middle School-Front Field.  Come and support your HEAT!

Despite the summer heat and humidity, The HEAT stepped up to win the August Cup tournament, winning three matches without a loss.  The weather was brutally hot, however the boys kept their cool and did not give up a goal in the tournament.

With only three days until the tournament matches begin, The HEAT were notified that the team was accepted to compete in The August Cup. 

Coach Jeff, contacted and asked about the tournament said, "This is a great opportunity for our team.  This is a premier level tournament and we will face some excellent competition!"

The HEAT won the Virginia Beach Sun Cup Tournament this weekend by winning four matches without a loss.  Crisp passing and good movement led to early scoring in each game, and a smothering defense kept their opponents behind midfield for the majority of every match.

The HEAT will conduct practice in August on Sundays from 5pm to 7pm, and Mondays from 6pm to 8pm in preparation for tournament and league play.

Practice will be at Long Park on the turf fields.

The HEAT has been accepted into The Sun Cup Tournament in Virginia Beach, August 22nd and August 23rd.
