HEAT NAVIGATE PAST THE RAPIDS TO A WIN
In a showdown of undefeated NCSL clubs, The HEAT came out on top 5-2 over the Potomac Rapids.
Potomac applied constant pressure to The HEAT defense early in the match, and at the 14 minute mark, found the net to take a 1-nil lead. The HEAT were not discouraged, and during a scramble in front of the Rapids keeper, HEAT hustle and tenacity tied the score at 1-1. Continuing to press the Potomac keeper, The HEAT scored twice in quick succession to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.
Potomac scored again halfway thru the second half, narrowing the margin to 3-2. However The HEAT defense stiffened, and the offense put two more scores on the board, finishing with a 5-2 HEAT win.
The HEAT tip their caps to a strong, determined Potomac club.

The NVSC match saw The HEAT jump out to a 2-nil lead in the first half. However, The Revolution fought back early in the second half, scoring twice to tie the match.
