2009 Heartbreakers Red
Heartbreakers Organization
The 18U Heartbreakers Red Junior Olympic fastpitch softball team is one of 6 travel teams in the Heartbreakers Organization. The Heartbreakers were established in 1993 with one 14U team and organization has expanded to have teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U age groups for the 2009 season. The 18U Heartbreakers Red team competes in tournaments every weekend between Memorial Day and national tournament in August. The goal of the team is to compete at the highest levels of fastpitch softball, get the players exposure with college coaches, and to have fun. The team is supported by generous corporate sponsors, personal donations, team fundraisers and the annual softball camp held in June.

ASA Nationals -- HB Red Finishes 25th Out of 140 Teams
Las Vegas, NV -- The Heartbreakers Red went 4-2 in double elimination play and finished 25th ouf of 140 teams in the 2009 ASA 18U A Nationals held on July 27 - August 2.

Tuck Signs with Jacksonville University
Karson Tuck signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at DI Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. Jacksonville competes in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Karson will graduate from Walkersville High School in June 2010. Karson is playing her 4th season with the 18U Heartbreakers Red team. HB Hall of Famer Ali Higgs is the assistant coach at JU. Congratulations, Karson!

Jade Bowins Signs with Sacred Heart University
CF Jade Bowins signed a National Letter of Intent to join the DI Sacred Heart University softball program in Fairfield, CT. Sacred Heart competes in the Northeast Conference. Jade is playing in her 3rd season with the 18U Heartbreakers Red team. She will graduate in June 2010 from Governor Thomas Johnson High School. SHU competes in the Northeast Conference. Congratulations, Jade!

Lohman Commits to Mount Saint Mary's University
Breanne Lohman signed a National Letter of Intent to DI Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. The Mount competes in the Northeast Conference. Bre will graduate from Boonsboro High School in June 2010. She has played for the 18U Heartbreakers Red for 3 seasons. Congrats, Bre!!

Katy Bobbitt Signs With Mount Saint Mary's
Katy Bobbitt signed a National Letter of Intent with DI Mount Saint Mary's University. The Mount competes in the Northeast Conference. Katy has played with the 18U Heartbreakers Red for 2 seasons. She will graduate from Greencastle Antrim High School in June 2010. Along with fellow Heartbreakers teammate, Bre Lohman, they will make the 3rd and 4th HB Red players to play at The Mount. Congratulations, Katy!

At ASA Nationals in Las Vegas, NV, the team finished 25th out of 140 teams and tied the Bayside Blues for the highest finish among teams from the Northeast.
The 14th Annual Heartbreakers Softball Camp has 113 attendees at Ballenger Creek Park in Frederick.
