Friday, November 16 Directions for Registering Online for all Invitational Meets Listed Below We have decided to use online registration to sign up for Invitational meets this season. To register online, simply follow these instructions: 1. Click on the link below, which will take you to the registration page. 2. Click on the "Register Now" button (you will NOT have to pay a fee). 3. Choose not to Login if asked 4. Agree to the waivers by clicking on the two boxes. 5. Fill in your swimmer's information, scroll down to the appropriate age/gender box, and check all events that your swimmer wishes to swim. 6. Unless you are registering a second swimmer, click "submit" (click on "Register Someone Else" if you are registering a second swimmer). 7. You will receive an e-mail confirming the events for which you have registered. That is it! Again, no payment is required. This optional invitational meet is being held on February 21, 2009, at the Central Delaware YMCA. Although the meet is a bit of a drive, there are events for all age groups-- 8&U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15&O. Age as of December 1, 2008 determines swimmer's age group. The meet notice is attached below. Wednesday, January 7 Dover 3D Meet Notice Wednesday, January 7 Hotel Information for Queen City Classic As the Queen City Classic is quite a distance away, most families opt for staying at a local hotel, which can be both convenient and a fun, team-building experience. We have a contract with the Comfort Inn in LaVale. The phone number is 301-729-6400. When you reserve a room, you must mention the Howard County YMCA and/or our group number, which is 100681, to get the group rate. The Comfort Inn is holding 20 rooms for us (11-2 queen suites, 6 king suites, and 3 standard 2 queen rooms. (suites include a sofa bed). The prices are $109.99 for the suites, and $99.99 for the standard rooms. All of these rooms are non-smoking.The rooms will be held until one week prior (Jan. 23rd). Please call soon, as the rooms will likely fill! Wednesday, January 28 Registration Link for C&P Online Registration for C&P has begun. Click on the link to register. The C&P Swim League Invitational has events for 8&U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19 and "Open" Events for older swimmers seeking to obtain qualifying times. Sessions I (11-12), II (9-10), and III (8&U) will be on Saturday, February 14, and Sessions IV (13-19) and V (Open) will be on Sunday, February 15. PLEASE NOTE: In Sessions I-IV, swimmers can swim in two individual events and one relay. In Session V ONLY, swimmers can swim in three individual events and one relay. Swimmers in Session I, II, and IV MUST be slower than USA "A" times (THOSE USA "A" TIMES ARE LISTED BELOW IN THE MEET NOTICE AND IN THE BELOW LINK). Please compare those times against your best times (LISTED BELOW) before choosing your events. NOTE ALSO: You may not swim outside your age group to circumvent the minimum time requirements. Note that there are NO qualifying times for 8&U events, for relays, and for "Open" Events. Wednesday, January 28 2009 Swimmers Best Times Attached is a list of all swimmers best times to date. Please compare your times to the USA "A" times listed below to see if you qualify to swim in Sessions I, II, and IV of the C&P Invitational. The 8&U events do not have qualifying times. Your times in Sessions I, II, and IV must be SLOWER than the A times to qualify and, as stated above, you may not swim out of your age group to circumvent the maximum time requirements. |
