The Gretna Storm are members of the Mason-Dixon Football League since 1993. The Storm provides an opportunity for young men to continue playing football past their collegiate or scholastic careers. The Storm also provides inexpensive family entertainment and is the premiere adult amateur football team in Central Virginia!

MDFL'S South Player of the game ready for 08
After a outstanding performance put on by DT-DJ Edmonds in the MDFL All-Star game in Winchester,VA. DJ is ready to help get the Storm back on track in 2008. DJ has been a Defensive standout for the Storm for several years and after taking a year off returned to the Storm in 07. He has been putting in the work this off-season and looks to make is mark in the Storm's record book by season's end. DJ is chasing the all-time sack record for the Storm and currently has 32.5 sacks in his career. He is also 3rd in total tackles with 208 to his credit.

Storm Players play in All-Star Game in Cleveland,Ohio on May 19th
On May,19th the Gretna Storm had several players Represent the Central VA area in a TRUE National setting. When the MDFL All-Stars played against the MLFN'S All-Stars in the "Stars of Tomorrow" 2007 All-Star game. Head Coach Chris Weeks made the trip working as the MDFL All-Star's OL/DL Coach for the league and also had OL-Doug Pieronski, OL-Jeff Stovall, SS-Shaunta Jefferson, and QB-Donald Benson make the trip for the Storm. The MDFL All-Star's came out from the start showing they were there to win the game when the massive O-Line lead by the Storm's center Doug Pieronski opened huge holes for the backs on the way to a 39-16 win over the MLFN"S All-Stars. The Storm was proud to have been apart of this game and looks forward to having more of their players getting the chance to showcase their talents on a TRUE National stage again next year.
