Welcome to Howard County Recreation & Parks Jump Rope Classes & Camps
Jump rope programs are taught by the Kangaroo Kids. Programs are offered to youth and adults in the fall, winter and spring.

Classes:

Joey Jumpers - Ages 6-8 years; Beginner program all about having fun and getting fit. Jumpers will learn the basics of single rope and some long rope skills.

Junior Jumpers - Ages 8-16 years; Beginner program designed to teach the jumpers the basics of single rope, Double Dutch and long rope skills.

Intermediate Jumpers - Ages 6-16 years; Build on basic single and long rope skills with an introduction to precision group routines. Prerequisite: minimum 2 sessions of Joey and/or Junior Jumpers or coach's approval.

Preparation to Perform - Ages 8-16 years; Jumpers with a desire to perform at public events will build on single and long rope skills, precision routines and develop showmanship skills. Prerequisite: minimum 2 sessions of Intermediate Jumpers and/or coach's approval.

Jump Rope & Double Dutch FUN! - Ages 12+ years; Jumpers will be introduced to Double Dutch and other exciting jump rope skills.

Jump Rope Fit for Adults & Teens - Ages 16+ years; Increase cardio-respiratory endurance, balance, coordination and agility, all with the use of a jump rope. Great cross training for other activities.
One-day Programs:

Jump Rope Day - Ages 6-16 years; Beginner through intermediate level jumpers will focus on single and long rope skills. This is a great opportunity to try jump rope, have fun, get fit and learn new skills!
Summer Camp:

Jump Rope Camp - Ages 6-16 years; This camp is all about fun and fitness. Learn single rope, Double Dutch and long rope skills. Improve cardio-respiratory endurance, balance, coordination and muscular strength.
