EVAN LEVY WENT 3-4 AT THE PLATE AND KNOCKED IN 2 RUNS TO LEAD THE OFFENSIVE ATTACK.

JOE MERROW PLAYED GREAT DEFENSE ASSISTING ON 6 PLAYS AND RECORDING 1 PUT OUT WHILE HELPING THE HAWK TO THIER FIRST ERRORLESS GAME OF THE SEASON.

Evan Levy stayed hot against the Hillcats going 4-4 with a walk and 5 RBI's he had 2 singles, a double and a triple.

Tom Johnson went 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBI's

Sam Bonifant went 2-3 at the plate with 4 RBI's and pitched a complete game 4 hitter.

Jimmy Angell allowed only 1 earned run and pitched the Hawks over Mascenic striking out 7 and walking 4.  Angell seemed to get stronger as the game went on.  He only gave up 1 run after the second inning.

Sam McManus continues to swing a hot bat for the Hawks going 2-4 with a single and a homerun plus 3 rbi's.

Tom Johnson sparked the offense by collecting 2 of the teams 5 hits including a triple, SAC Fly and 3 RBI's.

PLAYERS OF THE GAME vs SANBORN

Jimmy Angell and Evan Levy were named co-players of the game vs Sanborn.  Angell pitched 5 strong innings of 4 hit ball striking out 6 and only walking 3.  Evan Levy knocked in the game winner in the bottom of the 5th with a 2 out double.

Honorable mentions:

Sam McManus 2-3 with an rbi plus gunned out the final out at 3rd base to end the game.                                              Joe Merrow played some solid shortstop.                              Nate Greabe had a hit and a rbi plus some nice defensive play.                                                                                           Adam Coen a rbi hit.

PLAYER OF THE GAME vs RAYMOND: SAM MCMANUS

Freshman pitcher Sam McManus held the Rams to only 4 hits over 5 innings while striking out 7 and walking 4.  He left with the Hawks up 4-2, McManus also reached base 3 times and scored twice. 

Senior Joe Merrow went 2-2 at the plate and reached base 4 times as the Hawks went on to win 5-2.

Sophomore Jimmy Angell came on in relief of McManus and shut the door striking out 3 of the seven batters that he faced, Jimmy also collected his first varsity hit.

Matt Story continues to deliver in a big way as he pitched the Hawks to a 9-3 win over Mascenic (11-3).  Matt threw a 3 hitter allowing only 1 earned run while striking out 3 and walking 0. He ended up pitching 7 complete innings throwing a season low 77 pitches.  Story also helped the offense by blasting his 4th homerun of the spring, a 3 run shot over the center field fence.

Honorable Mention

David Brandt played some pretty good shortstop while also collecting 2 hits and scoring 3 runs and knocking in a pair.  Nick Babson also had 2 hits and  3 rbi's.  Nick also caught one of his better games of the season, keeping everyone under controll.

Matt Demers had the hot bat in today's game going 4-4 at the plate with a double and a rbi.

David Brandt pitched a complete game 2 hitter striking out 10 while walking 1.

Senior Matt Story was most of the story this afternoon as the Hawks battled a tough Epping club.  Story got the Hawks rolling in the first inning when he smacked a 3 run homerun over the left field fence to give the Hawks a 4-0 lead.  However the Blue Devils started hitting and took advantage of a few errors to come back and tie the game at 4 after 4 innings.  Story stepped up to the plate again and hit another long homerun over the left-center field fence to give the Hawks the lead again.  Story also added a rbi triple in the 6 inning to finish the day going 3-3, a triple, 2 homeruns a walk and 5 rbi's.  To make the Story even better he pitched 5 innings to get the win on the mound.

Honorable mention:

David Brandt, Nick Windhurst, Evan Levy, Dennis Fraser and Dan Forrester each had 2 hits in a season high 16 hit attack.

Sam pitched a complete game 6 hitter striking out 3 and walking 0.  Sam continues to use his secret weapon as he picked off 3 more Hillcats at 1st base.
