HATTIESBURG BLACK SOX

Hattiesburg Black Sox Semi-Pro Baseball Club. Located in historic Palmers Crossing. The team was formed in 1941 by Milton Barnes. Team was acquired by Trey Aby in the 2003 season. The Black Sox have always been a dominant force in baseball since their arrival in 1941. Tucked away in palmers crossing, teams from all around come to challenge the Sox. This year has been wonderful, the Sox are a strong organization and will not be taken lightly by any team. People understand that the Black Sox come to play ball every time they step on the field. Sox beat Vikings and Meridian

The Sox beat the Vikings 10-3 in the first game sunday then beat Meridian 8-4 in semi pro action

Wow what an amazing road trip. The Sox have captured 2 National titles from tournaments and have played an 19-1 and only played 3 home games. Guess what Sox fans we are home for the entire month of June and most of July so come out to the ballpark and see some great Pine belt baseball

Sox beat Braves Myers knocks cover off of the ball

The Black Sox beat the Offahoma Braves by a score of 8-0 today at Smith Wills . Tootie Myers hit a home run, double and a single to lead the Sox attack.  Tony Phillips gave up just 2 hits in six innings of baseball today. Tyler Vanderhiden made his Black Sox debut with us with a scoreless inning in the 7th.  Next up Vikings at Smokie Harrington ballprk sunday at 4 o'clock

Black Sox beat St. Louis #1 team in the nation twice

The Black Sox beat the #1 team in the nation, St. Louis Golden Spikes, twice on sunday to capture the Championship. The Sox currently ranked #2 by the ASPBA have a record of 18-1

Black Sox win Memphis

The Black Sox beat St. Louis Golden spikes  7-3 to clinch the Tournament in Memphis. Jesse Luker got the win after throwing 5 hit ball over 6 innings. Matt Riley got the save in the 7th as he closed it out.  The first game of championship day the Sox beat the Golden Spikes 3-2 on  a brilliant pitching performance by Tony Phillips who gave up 5 hits in 8 innings of work.

The Black Sox have updated rosters for the 2009 season we have a few more spots available for the season

Black Sox rolling along at 12-1

The Black Sox are rolling along this season with a 12 win 1 loss record going into Memorial Day tournament in Memphis. The Sox expect to put up a good showing this summer with all returning starters back from last year and a few new faces.

The Black Sox secure a major sponsorship today. Greg Wilcox is a Board of Supervisor for Rankin county Mississippi. Greg has been a long time Black Sox fan since his days of living in Petal. Greg has connections with a few of the players that he coached in little league in Petal. We are very excited to have him as a member of our team
