Practice Schedule
Please remember that practices are closed. Parents are invited to bring chairs to wait in the parking lot if you wish. It would be a great opportunity to get to know your fellow parents. Also, as indicated in the HCA by-laws, no cheerleader will be released without a parent/adult escort.
Pom: Tuesday 6 PM to 7 PM
JV: Tuesday 7 PM to 8:30 PM
Varsity: Monday 6:15 PM to 7:45 PM

Each position above holds a very important part to the success of our squads. Without them, our squads would not run as smoothly as we would like. I want to thank each person who attended for giving their time to our Association.
Responsibilities:
COACH – Teach cheers, dance, choreograph and stunts. Our coaches have signed a pledge that they will coach and teach in a safe manner and they will not go over and beyond with squad capabilities or individual capabilities.
COORDINATOR – This is the coaches' back bone and the back bone to the squads. They help coordinate all events with the squads and board. The coordinator will handle all administrative duties of each squad. Signups for all squad and association events and they have schedules for the entire association. When you have a question or a complaint, address the coordinator first. They are in the loop as to EVERYTHING that is going on your squad. If your question or complaint is something she cannot answer immediately she will address the coach or the board and will get back to you.
Please know you are ALWAYS welcome to contact your coach with your concerns. If you really need to get an answer from the coach, you can contact her directly. Our goal is to allow the coaches to do what they do best and that is to coach. This will also allow the board to handle matters that will ensure the HCA is working in a manner that community growth is expected and the program called HCA is growing and being the best Association it can be.

Football Games Expectations
Please refer to your By-Laws. This is your guide book for expectations. The coaches and board members are all parents, and are expected to follow these rules the same as you. No one will be treated different based on position in the association and cheerleaders will not be treated different based on whom their mother might be. If you have misplaced a copy of the by-laws, we have these on the website under HANDOUTS.

Football Jamboree
Jamboree is September 15 from 11 AM to 3 PM at Ledford High School. Cheerleaders not in attendance will incur an absence. We will be tailgating before the game. More details to follow. Please look for signups for sides to bring with the hotdogs we will have available! GO HASTY!
Homecoming
Tentative date – October 6th.
We will have a balloon arch way and fresh flowers for girls and boys. All 3 teams will cheer a quarter at this event
Homecoming Dance
We are working the final details. Dance date (October 5th) has been confirmed with Mrs. Withers. This is a fundraiser for the Association; therefore, ALL squads are expected to participate.
Christmas Parade
We have a 22ft. lowboy available for use. Charlie Brown Christmas is the theme! More information is coming out, but we will need all hands on deck to get this thing built. Also is you have wood, fabric or other float building materials lying around and have no use for it, please let us know. We can use it!
Competition team
All cheerleaders are invited to be part of the competition team. We will have signups in the next couple of weeks for those that want to be a part of this. This will require traveling, additional time commitment and additional cost. There will be a fundraiser to help offset the cost.
Community Projects
First community project will be held in October. Please be on the lookout for signup sheets and more info. Fitting for warm ups We have started fitting for warm ups. Michelle and Kim will be at the school on practice days to fit.
