Hamburg Area Soccer Association – Fall 2012 Player Evaluations Dear Hamburg Area Soccer Players and Families: HASA is pleased to announce that Player Evaluations for the Fall 2012 season will be held during the weeks of May 21st – 24th and June 4th – June 7th. This year the evaluations will be conducted fully by Reading United Player Development Program led by Mr. Troy Snyder. The purpose of these evaluations is to give an independent analysis of each player's ability to compete at the highest level, plus to help the Operations committee to create more skill level appropriate trainings for the fall season.
Our expectation of the players is that they will attend at least one, preferably both of the evaluation sessions for their registered age group in order to be properly evaluated. In the event your son or daughter cannot attend the scheduled session for their age group, please contact the HASA President, or 2nd Vice President as soon as possible.
It is extremely important that all new participants, and especially the U9 players, attend all evaluations for their group so they can be properly evaluated for their first full year participating within our club’s travel program.
If you believe that your son or daughter has the ability to play on a top level travel team one age group older than their normal age, then the player must attend at least one of the higher level sessions in addition to your registered age level. Playing up means the player will be rostered as a primary player one level higher than his/her normal age group, and will not practice or play games with classmates or friends of the same age. Please consider these factors when choosing to have your child play up.
On evaluation days please observe the following guidelines:
* During the first 15 minutes players will check-in, be assigned a colored pinnie, and warm up
* Shin guards are mandatory and soccer cleats are highly recommended. No jewelry.* Please bring water for your son or daughter.
* Please bring a soccer ball. They will not be provided by the club.

We must know how many players to expect each night so we have enough staff. Players arriving to a different age group other than their own may be turned away if we do not have prior knowledge of their attendance at that evening’s session.
