2012 HWC Wrap Up and 2012-13 Board Members Announced
Hello HWC families,
- Another fantastic HWC season is in the books, capped off by another fantastic HWC awards banquet! For those that could not make it, most have already received their awards via being delivered at their Hartland School. For those not in Hartland Schools, we've phoned and/or emailed to make arrangements to get your wrestler(s) awards to them, please reply if you haven't done so already so that can happen!
- Everyone should be on the look-out for announcements for summer programs, camps and clinics, including coach Trims EAGLE NEST WRESTLING, and a summer camp with HWC!
- BOARD ELECTION RESULTS: There was one volunteer for each Voting Board Member (Officer) positions, and therefore each is elected for the position they volunteered for. Board members for 2012-2013 will be:
President - Eric Thornton
Vice President - Bill Beggs
Vice President - Garnet Potter
Treasurer - Rick Corder
Secretary - Todd Cheney
The Alternate-Voting positions are not all filled, however Julie Bedford will be the new director for the Website and Newsletters. Obviously Julie is taking Danna Castillo's place, as Danna is graduating. Seriously and literally, not enough can be said to thank Danna for all she has done!
Bill Beggs will still handle Top Gun point gathering and Pin Cards.
And myself to help in any way I can, and wherever needed.
There is always plenty to do, and help with merchandise, tournament and concession organizing, or a lending help anyplace, is always very helpful and appreciated.
- I just want to say how lucky we are to have such a great and well coached program. Every year there is so much to be proud of; wrestlers getting their first wins and learning how to take loses; the growing number and increasing successes of our Duals teams; and our perennial ranking as one of the premier and well respected youth wrestling programs in the state, just to name a few things. I can tell you that the league directors compliment our club and families all the time, and other club directors have even called just to remark on how impressive we are to them, and how they aspire for their programs to become like ours.
I feel extremely rewarded to have served as President for HWC. If my family wasn't growing up, it would be a privilege to serve for years longer!
