Harford Kicks Attack Girls 94: Welcome

Our Training Dates are June: 19, 24, 26, July 1, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 from 5:45-7:15 at Glen Arm Field. We are having an issue with the website and cannot remove a few of the improper dates. There is no training on June 17, July 3. 

Harford Kicks entered two small-sided tournaments this June and took home the championships in both. The first is the Sand Duels Beach Soccer Challenge which took place right off the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD on June 7th. The players had a great weekend of fun in the sun and a challenging time playing on the sand. The team's record was 3-1, winning easily over some competition but also having close games with Freestate Lightening and BSU Starz. In the end, the team gained the points needed to clinch the championship, but more importantly had a fantastic time at the beach.

On June 22nd the team ventured to Columbia, MD's Covenant Park to participate in the McDonald's McSoccer Fest tournament. The Kicks demonstrated their 4v4 skills defeating Severn Road Runners and Herndon Magic in their first two games, which also clinched them a spot in the championship. It also set up two games against the also undefeated Mayhem team, one prior to the championship and then again in the championship. The Kicks played Mayhem tough in the first game, but Mayhem, worked hard, were more aggressive and more physical. Mayhem won the game leading up to the championship 2-0. The Kicks did not take the loss lying down, and were prepared for the more important championship game. The Kicks came out strong leading at the half 2-0. Mayhem did not go down with out a fight scoring immediately in the first few seconds of the second half. The Kicks were able to put another point on the board mid way through the second half, bringing the score to 3-1. Mayhem again did not give up and scored on a Kicks’ defensive mix-up late in the game. Never the less, the Kicks were able to hold on with strong defense and smart play for the rest of the game to win the championship 3-2.
