HANGTOWN: Spring Divisions
T-BallDivision Comments: This program is for players league age 5-6 (with an option for 7 year olds) who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off the batting tee. Rules may be varied to accommodate the needs of teaching. Goals of Tee Ball are to have fun, instruct kids in the fundamentals of baseball and allow them to experience the value of team work.
Farm
Division Comments: This division is for younger players league age 7-10 who are less skilled and need to further develop their hitting and fielding skills. These players hit off a pitching machine. The goal of the Farm players is to develop their skills and prepare them for the Minor division while having fun and learning the importance of team work.
Minors
Division Comments: This division is for players league age 9-12 years old. They hit off "player pitching" and follow Little League official Minor League rules. The league age 9-10 year olds in this division maybe selected to an all-star team at the end of the regular season and play in an end of year tournament.
Majors
Division Comments: This division is for players league age 10-12 years olds is a competitive division. The players on these teams share the common goals of commitment, responsibility, and team work, while continuing to improve both their on field playing and leadership skills. Players league age 11-12 years old in this division maybe selected to an all-star team at the end of regular season. This team will compete in tournaments at the local level, with the chance to advance to the Little League World Series.
Juniors
Division Comments: This division is for league age 13-14 year olds. The programs link the Little League and Seniors
League divisions and offer a full range of tournament play, including a World Series.
Seniors
Division Comments: This division is for players league age 14-16 years old. It offers a full range of tournament play including a World Series.
Big League
Division Comments: This division is for players league age 16-18 years old who seek top-level amateur play, each with a full range of tournament play including a World Series.
Challenger Division
The Challenger Program was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League Baseball to enable boys and girls with physical and mental disabilities, ages 5-18 or the completion of high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.
