The Huskey is the official mascot of the Hampton Minor Hockey Association. Our association caters to some 300 hockey players from IP to Midget at the Hampton Community Centre, located on Main Street in Hampton. Please visit our site frequently for updates on our 2009-10 season.

Last week's winner of the Verbal Block contest was Riley Clarke of the IP 1 team.  Each week, Hampton Minor Hockey players have a chance at winning some prizes. Players can click on the Verbal Block Logo to the left or on the headline above to see this week's question pertaining to hockey. The lucky winner's name will be posted on the website each week and a prize will be waiting at the rink with their name on it. So check in each week to play Verbal Block! and see if you come up lucky.

Coaches: Jim Fleming offering training session Thursday on how to develop your goalies

Hampton Minor Hockey is hosting Jim Fleming, owner of InCrease Goaltending and the goalie coach for the Saint John Seadogs, who will be providing a session for Hampton’s coaches on how to develop your goaltenders. Every team is expected to send at least one coach to this session, which will run Thursday, Dec. 3, from 6-8 p.m. in the Leah McGowan Theatre at Hampton Middle School. The session will offer an overview on how to develop your goalies and provide drills on improving their technique. Any Midget and Bantam goalies who are interested in being mentors to novice, atom and peewee goaltenders are also encouraged to attend.

Cheer on our teams!

Cheer on our hockey teams this week. Fill the stands and make some noise.

 On Monday, Nov. 30, the Atom A take on Lancaster at 7:30 p.m.

On  Tuesday, Dec. 1 the Peewee B take on KV at 6:30 p.m. Then it's the Bantam AA playing KV at 7:45 p.m. At 9 p .m., the Bantam B play Sussex.

On Friday, Dec. 4, the Atom C2 play St. Andrews at 6:45 p.m. At 8 p.m., the Bantam Girls take on River Valley.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, there are a number of games, beginning at 12:30 p.m. when the Atom C1 take on KV. At 1:45 p.m., the Bantam Girls take on St. Stephen. At 3 p.m., the Bantam C2 take on KV. At 4:15 p.m., the Peewee C1 play Lancaster. At 6:45 p.m., the Midget B play RNS.

 On Sunday, Dec. 6, the Peewee C2 play Saint John at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Midget C2 playing KV at 10:30 a.m. At 11:45 a.m., the Midget A team play Sussex. At 3 p.m., the Bantam C1 play KV followed by the Midget C1 playing Lancaster at 4:15 p.m.

New Team Fundraising Policy

Hampton Minor Hockey has adopted a new fundraising policy that should be reviewed by every team. It places a cap on the amount of money a team can raise and requires financial statements to be submitted to the board by Dec. 1 and April 1. Please review the policy by clicking the handout below.
