Sale's Rhys Carter is a member of the World Championship Emus Team.
Rhys a former Country Victoria player also played with the South Gippsland under 16 boys team for a short time. He has also been writing a diary of the world championships.

South Gippsland 14's do well at Classic
The Australian Junior Classic played on the weekend gave the under 14 girls a chance to show their stuff with wins over runners up Broadmeadows and Eltham and Mildura the girls have finished 5th in the Australia wide competition a loss to Dandenong on Sunday prevented an even better result.
The 16's had a good win in the A grade of the Nunawading Tournament
Dave Mowbray gains Dr Hurley scholarship
Dave Mowbray from Country Vic coach from Sale has been awarded the inaugural Dr Adrian Hurley Scholarship.
Dave has been involved with the South Gippsland program through his daughter Hayley who played with the 16's a few years ago.Read about his appointment by clicking the link.

Gold and Bronze at the Masters
A Stirring win to the girls who played without gun forward Wendy Smith for most of the second half of their Gold medal game.
Bronze to the 50+ men with Leon McAlpine and Bill Jeffs overcoming injury to down Wollongong in a tough encounter.
The 40+ men won early games but injury eventually took it's toll with them bowing out in the quarter final.
