The White Sox managed by Fred Smith went undefeated this year with 17-0 regular season and playoff record. The final playoff standing were as follow: 2nd place - Cardinals 3rd place - Yankees This was a tough year for the kids with all the rain and the field conditions in Romney but we would like to say to all of the Managers, coaches and parents THANK YOU for a great 2009 season and for all of those player that will be playing All-Star . PLAY HARD & LEAVE IT ALL BETWEEN THE WHITE LINES. MAKE HAMPSHIRE PROUD!!!!!!!!!!! Thursday, June 4
Fundraisers
HCLL completed the annaul fundraisers for the 2009 season . The fundraisers were organized by Renee Cox and several other board members. The local league is self supportive and operates in the money raised from sponsorship fee, player registration and fundraisers. Renee did a excellent job making sure the coaches and managers were informed of the team time and dates, gathering prizes for top performers and raising money for gift bags, this wasn't easy because of the local fields being closed and she had to move the BAT-A- THON to Capon Bridge. The three fundraiser included: Minor and Major league baseball & softball: BAT-A-THON T-Ball : Candle sales Concession Stands So, when you see Renee out at the fields or in town, please tell her THANK YOU for a job well done. I am sure that Renee is going to say it was the Managers and coaches and the players that made this years fundraisers a success, but she did a great job.
