April 2nd practice is scheduled for Ridge Hill School from 11 am - 1 pm. All ball players of all ages must first check in at the registration desk before entering the play field. Players will not be evaluated unless they have been stamped. your contact information, verify your child's uniform size, and let us know of any preferences you might have for your children. Like which team, or coach or other player your child would like to play on or with.
We are also looking for volunteers for coaches and assistant coach positions for all levels. If you signed up as a team helper you will be contacted this week to help at the registration tables.
Because of the wonderful turn out of 4 and 5 yr old ball players this Spring we are asking that parents whose last name falls between A-L please come at 11am and those whose last name is between M-Z please come at 12pm.
We need players and parents to verify Thank you, and I will see you on the field at 11am.

It’s Time for Baseball!!
Celebrating over 4 Decades of Baseball in Hamden
The Greater Hamden Baseball Association was formed so all children, boys and girls, might have the opportunity to learn the sport and have a chance to actually play in any position.
Join us this year and everyone will play and hit in every game. Not all children develop physically at the same pace, and those who may take a little longer to learn the sport will not be left behind. Baseball teaches life lessons and that is why it is America’s game.
Season runs April –June. Optional regional Summer Tournaments and Fall Ball season.
Registration is $40.00 for 4 yr olds and $85.00 for all others.
Fee includes: Hat, shirt, pants, socks and one ticket to our annual trip to the Rock Cats game May 21, 2011 in which all Hamden players take the field for the National Anthem.
We march together in the Memorial Day parade and all players help build the GHBA float. Last Fall we gave away candy to everyone on the parade route. The younger players ride on the float. Every May we have a baseball jamboree/barbecue at Brooksvale Park and we end the season at the trophy celebration/pizza party at Knights of Columbus Hall. Each child receives a trophy for their accomplishment.
