NWB Hall of Fame Induction Application
.
The following is the official nomination application for induction into
the NWB Hall of Fame. Applications due annually by October 15.
Eligible candidates must have played at least three years and have
been in 75% of season games in regulation baseball within organized
women's baseball teams and leagues. There is some flexibility for
the previous "historic" player category when a league did not engage
entirely in regulation baseball.
Current and previous players may be recommended by any individual,
including the specified candidate, directly involved with organized
women's baseball teams and leagues.
Voting is by the NWB Hall of Fame Honorary Selection Committee
which is composed of league administrators, managers, coaches,
writers, current NWB Hall of Famers (who have so indicated), and
others related to women's sports.
Approval is by 75% of the committee members who vote. Annually,
a maximum of five candidates with the highest percentages (four
current and one previous) may receive induction.
Selections are based on information provided in this application
demonstrating high levels of achievement; and a brief statement
on capabilities, character, and contributions to women's baseball.
Results of voting indicating those selected for induction into the
NWB Hall of Fame are announced annually during October.

C. REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be at least 18 years of age, current or previous
player for at least 3 years and in 75% of the games in
regulation baseball within an organized women's league.
2. Individuals must play regulation baseball, or hardball,
on standard-size fields with appropriate equipment.
There is flexibility for previous "historic" players.
3. Complete and return this application and include a
candidate statement on capabilities, character, and
contributions by October 15.
4. There is no processing fee.

E. CANDIDATE STATEMENT

and contributions (not to exceed 2 pages).
Content on capabilities could reference statistics, averages,
or descriptions of accomplishments. Other contributions and
character could identify a history of involvement in sports
and support to team and league members by assisting others
in playing and learning baseball.
